Turkey Travel workouts

Stay moving this Thanksgiving, here are 3 travel workouts you can do anywhere

Turkey Trots (workout 1)
Great workout to do on a track since school is out for the holidays. You can also do this anywhere, even w/ no running (do the core option)


.5-1mi jog/walk warm up

Stretch for 3-5min

Round 1:
400m on a track or 2min quick run

(No runnning: 50 bicycles, 50 Mountain climbers, 50 high knees)
10 burpees or squat jacks, 10 pushups, 10 lunges, 10 sit-ups
1min rest

Repeat for 5 total rounds (or whatever you can do and have time for). Each Round up the rep count by 10– Rd 2: 20 reps each, Rd 3: 30 reps each, Rd 4: 40 reps, Rd 5: 50 reps


The latter rounds, you'll need to take breaks during the reps.

5min cool down jog/walk


Escape the Family Chaos (workout 2)

.5-1mi jog/walk warm up

Stretch for 3-5min

Round 1:
Run out the door (around the neighborhood) aka 5min easy run
(No runnning: 1min lunges, 1min plank, 1min toe touches, 1min squats, 1min burpees or jumping jacks)


30 Johnny C Push-Ups

30 V-Ups or Alternating V-Ups
2min wall-sit
Rest 1min

Repeat for 3 total rounds: everything stays the same except add 1min longer to wall-sit (Rd 2: 2min, Rd 3: 3min)

5min cool down jog/walk


1000 reps (workout 3)

.5-1mi jog/walk warm up

Stretch for 3-5min

Round 1:

20 push-ups
20 squats
20 hard-count bicycles
20 supermans w/ 3 sec hold (bird-dogs)
20 burpees or lunges (hard-count on lunges)

Rest for 90sec or do a 90sec recovery jog

Repeat for 10 rounds total (or do as many rounds as you can)


5min cool down jog/walk
